D’ANDRA ULMER

Never in a million years did I think I would become a beverage manufacturer. What started as an accidental career has now become a labor of love! As the Chief Marketing Bee at Me & the Bees Lemonade, I am passionate about working with my family business, especially alongside my Gen Z daughter, Mikaila Ulmer, who founded the company when she was just four years old. From helping her tell her story in front of her lemonade stand early on to creating a mission-driven global brand featured multiple times on ABC’s Shark Tank, my journey has been rewarding but with its share of challenges.

With a sharp acumen for technology and a real passion for building businesses, I bring over 10 years of experience in technology marketing working with startups and blue chips —such as AMD and Xerox— 15 years growing our family business, and 5 years in expanding the Healthy Hive Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to all bees through education, research, and protection, and inspiring social entrepreneurship.
I have spearheaded all marketing efforts for our premium ready-to-drink all-natural lemonades, taking the brand from a single lemonade stand to a presence in over 6,000 retail doors in all 50 states. Recently, my efforts have included increasing traffic to our website and brokering our presence in national and regional TV spots with Target and H-E-B, contributing to double-digit revenue growth for eight consecutive quarters.

Keeping our mission at the forefront to save the bees, do right by the environment, and inspire the next generation of changemakers, I led the launch of Mikaila’s bestselling book Bee Fearless Dream Like a Kid, orchestrated an ongoing “Talking Bees Roadshow” for bee education around our home state of Texas reaching thousands of kids, and focused on always finding even more eco-friendly packaging solutions to avoid the possibility of millions of plastic bottles making it into our oceans.
