Josey Markiewicz is the Senior Director of Coffee Quality & Training at La Colombe Coffee Roasters.

A seasoned 25 year veteran of the specialty coffee community, Josey started his coffee career in Seattle, Washington. Throughout this time he has enthusiastically worn many hats, from the farm to the dishpit.

Josey has been instrumental in opening dozens of cafes nationwide, curating some of the industry’s most notable cafe experiences. He has created and executed quality assurance programs, and is responsible for the creation and implementation of La Colombes barista training curriculum. Josey is also part of the La Colombe culinary team, who is responsible for menu curation, recipe development, and R&D of on-bar beverages.

At home, Josey is artful and poetic, relentlessly positive, and is an excellent dancer.
