Tim Mehlberg is a Hospitality Business Instructor at Michigan State University who earned his B.S. in Hospitality Management from Ferris State University and M.S. in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from Texas Tech University. His career started in general management positions with high volume restaurant chains Magic Pan International and Good Earth Restaurant & Bakery as well as food and beverage concepts for Marriott-Host International at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Tim spent 17 years within the foodservice distribution channel in sales, sales support, product marketing and brand development working for Gordon Food Service in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Performance Food Group in Richmond, Virginia. He also has foodservice product development and product launch experience with poultry processor Perdue Farms Inc. of Salisbury, Maryland. Prior to Michigan State University, Tim spent 13 years as a hospitality management educator with The University of Akron.
