LIZA SALARIA
Liza brings innovative leadership to W. Capra, inspiring teams to think differently and push the boundaries of traditional industry norms. She taps into her expertise in small-format merchandising, marketing, branding, and business strategy to help companies realize their business objectives. Liza is a well-known speaker and thought leader in the Convenience industry. She has authored numerous publications in the areas of food service and category management and is a sought-after speaker at large industry events, including NACS and CSP. Liza was recognized as a CSNews 2024 “Top Women in Convenience – Senior Level Leader” for her inspirational leadership in the industry.
Liza applied her aptitude for guiding staff and clients, along with her industry savvy, to several senior leadership roles. She served as Senior Director of Brand Concept Development at Sunoco, with experience as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Merchandising at Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores and various senior merchandising and fresh food leadership roles at Giant Eagle.
Liza also brings a wealth of knowledge to wholesale distribution, having over ten years of experience leading wholesale procurement teams in three distribution verticals: grocery, food service, and convenience. She has led supply chain projects for companies transitioning from third-party wholesale to internal supply – establishing procurement teams, wholesale programs, and financial structure.
Native to Pennsylvania, Liza graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. She has received certification from many business leadership programs at Duquesne, Carnegie Mellon, and Cornell universities. Liza has returned to her home state of Pennsylvania, though her career first led her to Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Liza believes in playing an active role in improving living conditions for those that are most in need. She is an active volunteer at Chester County Women’s Shelter and Food4Philly – a local student-led non-profit organization to help food insecurity in the greater Philadelphia area. Her teenage sons keep her busy between track meets, soccer games, and piano recitals. She finds time for herself through gardening, yoga, and relaxing with friends by the firepit on weekends.
