David Llewellyn is the chief executive of the AVA: Vending & Automated Retail Association, which is the trade body and voice for the automated 24-hour food and beverage industry. The AVA supports its members with government lobbying, best practice guidance and collaboration opportunities, while championing industry-wide quality, innovation and consumer satisfaction.
With over 25 years in the industry, David has a wealth of vending and business knowledge, enabling him to offer expert advice and support to members, facing challenges and changes to their business and the wider industry. David’s experience spans all aspects of vending – from working as a Supplier of ingredients and equipment, working as a national operator through his own vending company and working in the manufacture and supplier of vending equipment.
In his role as CEO at the AVA, David has been instrumental in promoting technology, sustainability and efficiency in the vending industry. In addition to ensuring the Association participates and responds to the many UK Government bodies when framing new legislation and guidance which would impact the industry.
Under his leadership, the AVA has become a trusted community for industry professionals, enabling collaboration and shared knowledge, ensuring growth in membership and support for all its members: Operating companies, Equipment manufacturers, Commodities & Ingredients Suppliers and Service Providers.
